We're a Chicago-based communications consultancy and creative studio serving nonprofits, small businesses, and civic organizations, grounded in three pillars: Strategy. Creativity. Connection.

Mayo Communications & Creative was founded by Jessie Mayo, a communications strategist and community engagement leader with deep roots in the nonprofit sector, local government, and small business. Armed with a Master's in Public Administration, a Bachelor’s in Public Relations, and a career built on purposeful storytelling and authentic connection, Jessie started this work to bring strategic, heart-forward communications to the organizations that need it most.

We believe in getting the job done, getting it done well, and having a little fun along the way. It's really that simple.

When she's not designing, writing, or strategizing, you can find Jessie experimenting in the kitchen, planning her next international trip, or singing a little too loudly along to a record—with her dog Jordy close by, offering moral support.
